About Us
Dee moved here in June of 1999 and established Spirit Horse Farm.
She married Kevin in 2005. Kevin served in the US Coast Guard for nearly 14 years before moving home to the farm full time in Nov. 2006.
We live with three sons, 2 dogs, 2 birds, 2 housecats, 1 barn cat, 1 rooster, and currently 8 horses.
We (mostly Kevin- god bless him!) spends virtually all thier time outside of work and raising the boys trying to complete the improvements on the farm to fit the "dream" we have envisioned for the property. Dee does most of the training with the horses.
Originally built around 1830, and the barn around 1900, it has been quite an undertaking! We also are green-minded people always looking to preserve the environment and reuse and recycle EVERYTHING possible! We also use as few chemicals as possible in everything we do. From housecleaning, to flyspray on the horses by using earth friendly naturally plant based cleaners, fly masks, fly predators, etc.
We currently board a few horses, Stand Our Stallion Olenas Blonde Alibi, breed our own mares, and do some Natural Horsemanship Training.
We also occasionally take in boarders short term for rehabilitation with lay ups, needed weight gain or weight loss/fitness programs .
